Logistics Technology Alliance

Proteus is extremely pleased to announce the formation of the Logistics Technology Alliance alongside partners Imtech Logistics and Belgravium Technologies. This formal marketing arrangement between three leading suppliers of Logistics IT will offer operations such as 3PLs, transport companies, shippers and retailers a one stop shop for a total logistics system solution.

The Alliance combines Imtech’s LBASE 5 Transport Management System, Proteus’ Warehouse Management System and Belgravium’s mobile computing and wireless data capture systems – together with the in-cab technology offered by Belgravium group company, TouchStar Technologies.

It is not a closed shop however, and Alliance members can also work with other solution partners. Alliance’s members will combine marketing opportunities through shared exhibition stands and the publication of white papers. They will also be able to target a broader market and the larger organisations.

Clients of the Alliance have the assurance that all elements of system procurement will be handled professionally and competently, from specification through to implementation and beyond. Imtech and Proteus’ software is offered in either ‘packaged’ or ‘SaaS’ (Software as a Service) form.

Opting for the latter will give customers cloud-based, full functionality WMS and TMS without the need for a server located in the office and the obligatory support team. Quick to implement and requiring only a low capital expenditure, cloud based systems can be easily scaled to meet fluctuating business needs of today’s supply chains.

Belgravium’s hardware has been thoroughly tested, from both a laboratory and field perspective, to ensure certified integration with the software offerings of Proteus and Imtech. Data capture technology can be added, to great effect, at multiple operational points within a supply chain. A diagram illustrating the integration and data flow between warehouse management and transport management systems can be viewed on the Alliance web site www.supply-chain-optimisation.com.

Linda Rodway, Market Development Manager, Proteus Software commented: “We are delighted and excited about this partnership and we look forward to exhibiting the full strength of our product offering at forthcoming exhibitions. Our prospective clients will benefit from a total systems solution that offers value for money with less overall implementation time because all of the solution’s elements will interface with ease. Clients gain further advantage from having a single point of contact, empowering them because of the members’ collective knowledge and years of experience in providing systems for any industry sector.”
